App Boxer is aware that scammers are targeting job seekers, often beginning with a text or WhatsApp message claiming to be from App Boxer or another company (sometimes linking back to the App Boxer website or to a fake App Boxer domain).
One of the latest scams involves offering a fake role titled “App Growth Specialist”, where people are asked to review existing apps via WhatsApp in exchange for high fees for only a short amount of work. These messages were not sent with the knowledge or approval of App Boxer, and we have no connection or association with the individuals behind them.
We have reported this scam to the ACCC.
If you receive a suspicious text, email, or WhatsApp message claiming to be from App Boxer, we recommend you:
– Block or delete the message immediately.
– Contact App Boxer on general@appboxer.com.au to confirm authenticity
– Report the scam to the ACCC via Scamwatch: www.scamwatch.gov.au
