VISUAL
BRAND APPROACH
Gives the user a sense of belonging and inclusion in a good time. The act of reciprocity is strong and it’s all about the feels. The team identified that it was critical to identify the personality of the brand early on as the UI/UX Design of the app would be informed very practically by these values.
The brand identity needed to move a sense of emotion and this has been showcased in the suite of colours, typography, use of icons, animations, gifs and celebratory messages.

LANDING PAGE
The aim was to showcase the brand message, the credibility of the platform and capture users who were interested in downloading the app.

DEVELOPMENT
The app concept was created through our Kick-off Phase, a rapid prototype workshop.
It started with identifying the user needs, the functionality and the flow of the user scenarios. It needed to be fun and simple at every engagement without too many steps in educating the user.
We took the approach of including a number of the functionality on one screen because ‘white space’ was not needed in the UX.

SOCIAL MEDIA
The app and the brand message are showcases in images of people and fun animations. The App Boxer team has worked closely with the Founder to create and executed the design elements for socials.

STRATEGY
The MVP is simple. Send someone a gift card with a personal message using a video, gif or text message. Animation and strong colours are essential in delivering that message on brand and bring a smile to both the receiver and the giver.
However, it did not start out as a gift card platform. The pivot to the MVP as it is now was evident as the App Boxer team and the Founder iterated on an international business model along with technical capability.
