Making patient care transparent. Comunify is the one place to stay up to date with facility and community events while keeping track of your loved ones at all times.
In the last decade, the amount of people living in aged care facilities in Australia has tripled, and has put pressure on the facilities to communicate with their residents’ families. Comunify was designed to bridge this gap and built specifically to address the needs of the residents, their families and the facilities.
Comunify allows families to allocate a power of attorney where necessary and be involved in all decision making at any time. The app also enables families to view where their loved one is at all times with GPS tracking and easily organise visits with a specialised check in/check out system.
App Boxer were approached to rescue this project from another agency. The existing coding and back end development required a complete overhaul from our team. The App Boxer design team were also required to revamp the existing UI and UX strategy to ensure the app’s functionality met the users needs.
When Comunify approached us they already had an existing brand identity. Our design team was responsible for translating this to the UI while ensuring it didn’t detract from the critical information on the app. This was achieved by focusing on a minimalist design strategy, applying touches of colour only to enhance the user experience.
App Boxer’s development team was able to rescue the project from another agency. The build required our team to assess the existing product before continuing development. The final product was built using Native IOS and Android with a Laravel PHP backend hosted on AWS.
