Access App is the brainchild of EHPLabs.
EHPlabs is a global sports supplement brand founded in 2012 in Salt Lake City, Utah. The brand is dedicated to researching and formulating the highest quality and most efficacious products in the fitness industry.
The primary objective for EHPlabs is to assist people with their health & fitness goals and to maximise their physical performance and recovery.
Globally renowned for its flagship product, OxyShred, EHPlabs has assisted millions of people achieve their weight loss and overall health and fitness goals.
Access App is an evolution of the EHP app. The EHP app had several problems. Firstly, it did not allow standalone athletes to promote their individual brands through the app, instead, it was branched under the EHP brand, which created difficulties for fitness brands.
Secondly, athletes had to promote their services as EHP rather than their own fitness brand, resulting in a loss of identity.
Thirdly, there was friction and competition between multiple athletes promoting their services through the app, creating confusion for the user who had to choose between various programs. Lastly, the user was presented with all athlete programs on the EHP app, which further complicated the decision-making process.
The EHP app was white-labeled to be used as a stand-alone access point for all services sold by fitness trainers outside the app. Multiple trainers could use all app features under their own brand. Trainers promote their services outside the app and use the access app as a tool for their clients to access their services.
Rather than looking to push their own brand onto their partnered Trainers, the Access app is completely branded to the trainer’s fitness brand once the user grants access to the program or service.
This approach removed friction and competition between athletes by not showing any other athlete programs or brands within the app. Once the user grants access, they only see the content of the fitness trainer they signed up for outside the app.
App Boxer developed a brand for Access App by focusing on minimalism and user-centered design principles. We wanted the branding to be subtle and complementary to the trainers who would be using the app. Our team believed that the trainers’ brand and identity should take center stage instead of the Access App. Hence, we opted for a simple and clean design with minimal typography, iconography, and color palette.
We chose a cream and pastel pink color scheme for Access App to target the brand toward women. Our research indicated that women were a significant demographic for fitness trainers, and the color palette we chose would appeal to them. The pastel pink also has calming and soothing effects, which would be helpful for trainers to create a comfortable and positive environment for their clients. By using a soft, feminine color palette, we made sure that Access App would attract female users and provide a visually pleasing experience for everyone.
