Anyone who has lost a loved one knows how difficult that time can be. The realisation that they are no longer around and you’ll never hear their stories again can be a hard process. We were approached to create an app that captures these stories and allows families to relive them after their loved ones have passed.
A Lasting Tale provides families with the tools to record and save audio of interviews with their eldery loved ones. It allows their voices to be heard long after the loved one has passed. The app allows users to either record their own interviews using the top 10 question prompts or be matched with a professional. These local interviewers produce and publish audio and/or video interviews that aim to capture unique and untold stories.
App Boxer worked to develop the idea from the initial stages from the concept creation, to the full realisation of the project. We designed the complete front and back end development as well as the creation of a marketing strategy and assisted in the final launch.
A Lasting Tale’s brand personality was identified by creating a welcoming and friendly tone. Our design team was responsible for translating the existing brand identity to the UI while keeping the integrity of the brand. The soft green and minimal design emulates the identity of the brand while enhancing the UX.
When A Lasting Tale approached App Boxer to build their app we recommended using React Native to run on both iOS and Android devices. This was developed with Python Backend hosted on AWS. Additionally we provided them with an admin panel buit on Django
